February Election Notes

On the Ballot:       Education issues.  

(A separate election was scheduled in February as part of the state constitution in 1912.  Women were allowed to vote in the February "Education" election but not in the General Elections in November.)

TVI Employees Federation COPE to lobby door-to-door

TVI COPE members will walk precincts on Saturday, February 1st to get out the vote for endorsed TVI Governing Board candidates. To join in, contact Mark Rudd.



TVI Employees Federation COPE to interview candidates

TVI COPE members are planning to hand a written survey form to each candidate as he/she files for election on Tuesday, December 17th.  Seats in Districts 2,3,4, and 6 will be on the February ballot.  Follow-up interviews will take place on January 2nd, 6th and 7th.  (Members interested in participating in the interview process should contact Mark Rudd.)

Upon receipt of the surveys, COPE members will decide on candidates to recommend to voters.
